Light and sound are interwoven in the language of life.

Finding stillness can be an art for many people. The inner stillness that should be one of the most important priorities we make. In stillness, we connect with our true self, with love, light and creativity. Being present creates an inner peace that many long for – and in this contact we have all the answers to questions and concerns that we have. We are connected to the power that allows us to realise the dreams that are in our hearts – to live life to the fullest as who we are.
On my journey, sound has proven to be an important source of total presence and freedom. During my meditations I use crystal bowls, zaphire-chimes, more instruments which has found their way to me, and of course – the healing sounds of the voice. The drum also has its important place in my journeys.
There is a growing body of research on the effects of meditation on our body and mind.
The calm, deep breathing, repetition of sounds and words (mantras) can be both stress-reducing and pain-relieving.
Some effects of meditation can include;
- Reduced blood pressure
- General relaxation effect
- Reduced symptoms of depression, anxiety, inner turmoil, nervousness, fatigue, somatisation and strong body peace.
Adding on sound and music as therapy makes it a even more powerful journey.

The Healing Power of Harmony: Music as Therapy
Music isn’t just for entertainment; it can be a powerful therapeutic tool. But how does it work? Music therapy leverages the profound impact music has on our brains and bodies to address a range of emotional, physical, and cognitive needs.
Sound healing is an ancient practice that utilizes specific frequencies and vibrations to promote relaxation, well-being, and healing. It’s based on the principle that everything in the universe vibrates, including our bodies. When we’re stressed or unwell, our vibrations can become disrupted.
Sound healing aims to restore balance by using instruments like singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, and even the human voice. These instruments create sounds that resonate with our bodies
Here’s a glimpse into how music becomes therapy:
- Emotional Regulation: Music can help individuals identify, express, and process emotions. Sometimes we use upbeat music to lift the mood or melancholic melodies to process grief.
- Cognitive Stimulation: Music can improve memory, attention, and communication skills. Think about how sometimes familiar songs are used to trigger memories in individuals with dementia.
- Physical Rehabilitation: Rhythm and melody can aid in physical movement and coordination, assisting in recovery from strokes or injuries. Some practitioners believe sound can stimulate the body’s natural healing processes.
- Reduce Stress and Anxiety: Music can lower stress hormones like cortisol, promoting relaxation and a sense of calm. The calming vibrations can slow down brainwaves, inducing a meditative state.
- Improve Sleep: Sound can help regulate the nervous system, leading to more restful sleep.
- Release Emotional Blockages: Specific frequencies can tap into and release stored emotions.
So, next time you feel the power of a particular song, remember it’s not just a coincidence. Music has the potential to heal, connect, and transform us.

Let your heart lead you to your way of growth through sound & meditation! ♥
